Hi my name is Dana and I have troubled skin. I've always had the littlest bit of redness around my mouth and under my nose. Ia always thought it was normal, until I didn't anymore and wanted to "get it taken care of". I went to the doctor about it and she prescribed me a topical steroid. (If you're recoiling in horror right now, i know, i know). This was like MAGIC--until I stopped using it. I expereinced asteroid withdrawl that turned my tiny bit of redness into painful, itchy, bumpy rashes all around my mouth and up my cheeks. I have a mild form of perioral dermatitis, which is a clever way of saying: you have red skin and we don't know what causes it. Thus began my quest for finding the things that would heal my skin.
If you haven't clicked the back button yet, this serum is a critical part of my skincare routine. The marshmallow root works to calm and soothe my skin, and the strawflower helps control the outbreaks by balancing sebum production and fighting fungus (face fungus, cute right?)
This serum is made for you if you have eczema, dermatitis, acne and even rosacea. Whether you choose the 1.0 version or the 2.0 version, this serum is gentle on your skin but also helps address the root causes of eczema and dermatitis. Jojoba oil is wonderful for the skin, but in the 2.0 version I switched to kukui nut oil because it works a little harder to calm eczema and rosehip oil to help with any scarring from past breakouts.
